Call for Internet Professionals

My book "A Successful Woman's Handbook: Fifty-one Ways to Build your Community of Clients Online. How Women are Using the Web to Grow their Business, Reach the Right Customers, and Make a Difference" (ISBN 1434816273 / EAN13 9781434816276) will be available January 2008, and in the next two months I'l compiling a resource list of internet professionals grouped by state and field of expertise.

diary.jpgAre you a:

web designer
web developer
SEO guru
graphic designer
internet marketer
content editor
film producer
or printer?

Do you specialize in working with women, minorities, green organizations, or progressive companies? Contact me for inclusion: perhaps your listing in the book will increase your "reach."  www.asuccessfulwoman.com/resourcelist.php

The book, which is targeted to women in business, will provide specific tips to improve website functioning. Some of the tips require expert assistance (e.g. setting up a CMS or installing blog plugins), so I'm including this hand-picked resource guide. Readers are directed to contact the professionals listed to get the web work done. I anticipate space in the book for up to three people in each field per state (e.g. 3 graphic designers in Virginia, 3 web developers in Colorado, etc.) This will expand for major metropolitan areas.

I realize that, because of the fluid nature of our work, many of you who are in business now as web developers or graphic designers or editors may not be in the future. However, if you are planning to continue forward as a web resource person, inclusion in the resource may work for you.

Guidelines

Please add your contact information and your required portfolio of work. As a general guideline, I expect that you have been doing web work for at least 2 years and you have worked on at least 40-45 websites. If you self-identify as a woman-owned or minority-owned business, or if you are green-certified, please note this as well. These businesses take priority over all other listings.

The deadline for inclusion is December 31, 2007. There is no fee to be listed.

First of all, congrats on the upcoming book release, Monica! You'll have to send me a press release when it's out so I can toot your horn for ya over at Workerette. :-)

Secondly, I'm going to post info about this listing over there. Hopefully that will spread the word to Workerettes in the field that can help you out and benefit from the directory.

Congrats again, and best of luck with the new release.

Dear Monica,
Congratulations on the book. I bet the emails are flooding your inbox right now.

Speaking of writing projects, how is your first week of NaNoWriMo going? Stop by my site or email about how it's going--I'm posting Crazy Writer Support Group quotes about the experience...

Good luck writing!

Very cool, Monica! Let me know when the book is available, and I'll definitely write about it at MarketingBlurb. In the meantime, I just started a personal blog called Women On Business (www.womenonbusiness.com), and I'll absolutely add you to the blogroll and post about your call for internet professionals. I just launched the site yesterday, so I have no traffic yet, but another link can't hurt, right?

Hi Monica, I'm excited about the book and would like to invite you to be a guest on Indie Business Radio. I tried to find the book today at Amazon but didn't see it there -- where can I learn more?
