As part of my work with 10k Webdesign, we are constantly finding new ways to create functional, easy-to-update websites that reflect the professionalism of our clients and help them reach their target community of users, customers, and clients.
Here I'll share what we sent out recently:
Top Ten Ways to Increase Your Web Presence
10) Update your content. Put a fresh spin on your message. Search engines love this.
9) Add a Testimonials section to your site, with real people saying great things about you and your services.
8) Google Adsense. It's not for every site but advertising on yours might generate some income (or at least pay for the site's upkeep).
7) Add a Resources section. Put up links to other resources that your clients might need. Search engines also rank you based on your links to other high-quality sites.
6) Blog. Have you ever thought that something was good, bad, or just plain strange in your line of work? Well, now you can tell the whole world about it in your own online column. And what's really amazing about these is that the world wants to know what you think! (It's a great way to attract new customers, and to spread the word about your company).
5) Add a video introduction to your home page. Again, technology has come a long way in a short time: we're seeing more and more lovely video pieces to personalize websites.
4) Make sure you are using your web address in your email. Whether it is in your automatic signature or in your email address, make sure people know what your website is called. Use Hotmail/AOL/Earthlink accounts for your personal correspondence only.
3) Get rid of your webmaster. Wait, did I just say that? Yes, nowadays there are some fantastic options for managing your own content. Once the site is built, you run the show.
2) Sell something online: either your services, your products, or your upcoming events. People feel more and more comfortable ordering online and paying by credit card: make it easy for them to pay you!
1) Get a website ;-) If you don't already have one, contact 10K Webdesign for some ideas and an estimate (click the ad on the top right of the page)!
