YWSE-SF's Annual Retreat on September 8 and 9 is a chance to discover your vision, unlock your potential, and chart your path to creating a more vibrant future. This year's retreat focuses first on internal leadership development, then public leadership.
We hold the retreat every year at the Headland's Institute in Marin because the facility offers great meeting space, fabulous organic food while looking out over the ocean, a campfire facility, and fun dorm rooms. All speakers donate their time to support the success of women entrepreneurs, and all board members donate their time to organize it. This multi-year research effort engages women of color entrepreneurs in a dialogue about the factors that are preventing them from growing their businesses, and the actions that are necessary to meet and overcome those barriers. The project is focused on Asian, Latina, African-American & other multi-ethnic women who: Own 50 percent or more of a business, have been in business three or more years, have annual revenues between $250,000 and $5 million, and want to grow their business beyond their current level.
