I am meeting with our financial planner, Russ Singer of AXA Advisors
www.russ-singer.com next week for a checkin on our personal and business situation.
One item that he has always been very clear about with my partner and I is to
always pay attention to our asset allocation, and to always rebalance into non-correlated asset classes.
As women of color in business, we must constantly increase our knowledge and connections, and I encourage you to join a financial group, a learning circle, or an investment club to keep that part of your brain sharp.

Equity in a business is what all women business owners are all building towards. Women of color in management or professional women are always building higher levels of income and higher levels of investment/savings.... but according to Russ, check in at least once a year and make sure that your assets are spread out according to your risk profile as well as your target growth versus income allocation.
