Devoted to women of color in business

Zoe Cruz is co-president at Morgan Stanley, where she has been for over twenty years. She received a bachelor's degree in Literature from Harvard University in 1977, and received an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1982.

During her career at Morgan Stanley she has held the positions of Vice President, Managing Director, and global Head of Fixed Income, Commodities, and Foreign Exchange.


When speaking to her alma mater last year, Cruz emphasized the importance of understanding one's own definition of success: to her, "success is defined by how happy a human being you are." She spoke of three key indgredients in her recipe for success:  self-awareness, understanding of the rules of the game, and ability to add value, because "the touchy-feely stuff does matter."

Cruz is married to Ernesto Cruz, head of equity capital markets at the investment banking unit of Credit Suisse Group (CSR).
