How do your current business practices reflect your internal, personal self?
As you identify your core values, beliefs, and ideas, you will then be able to spell out your personal "mission statement", which you may integrate into your professional mission. As you align your internal self with your external selves, and you begin to live, behave, and treat others in accordance with your values, your reputation will reflect those values.
For example, in my mid-twenties, I identified the following behaviors as core to my being: communication skills, honesty, integrity, and compassion. (Yes, that spells CHIC!) I try to continue to act upon these behaviors to this day.
Live your life the best way you can, and conduct your business affairs with the values that most exemplify who you are and what you're trying to build: the closer in alignment your actions are with your values, the quicker you will find out ways to make your business become successful.
Here are some questions to help you understand your own persona:
Which are your weaknesses?
Who do you most admire, and why?
When have you felt most powerful?
When have you felt weak?
Who do you want to be in 5 years?
Who do you want to be in 50 years?
