#3 Golden Guide to Success: Set Priorities
Let's face it. Setting your priorities in life determines your actions. Where you spend your time is where your priorities are. It may be playing computer games, it may be skiing, it may be eating out at that chic bistro down the street, it may be taking your son to swim class. I've even heard that "procrastination is a spontaneous reorganization of priorities."Your priorities determine where you spend your time, and where you spend your time determines where you are now and where you will be in 5, 10, 15, 20 years.
In your day-to-day work, it is of paramount importance to set your priorities. Figure out how your day-to-day (to-do lists, projects, paperwork) fits in with your overall goals. Then you have a better ability to estimate if something is very important.
Priorities help guide us along the different options that fill every twenty-four hours. Make the most of your priorities -- understand them and make a committment to live by them. When your priorities are determining your time, you're getting closer to your best self and to the life you want to lead.
