Devin Thorpe over at MidMarketMaven.com, for example, has some great "Devin's Definitions" and a talk right now about "Dutch Auction," where investment bankers arrive at a price and an allocation method when offering shares in a company going public.
I never really knew what a midmarket financing group did, so reading his blog is enlightening. I also regularly visit GrowYourFunds.com and the blog-hers, Noelle Wong at ImageAide.com, Melonie Murray at Workerette.com and SmallBizMentor.com, Cathi Kent at BizCradle.com and Michelle Dunn at BizCreditPolicy.com.
My business focus right now is in web design and development: (my company offers customized web design and development, as well as standard packages for membership organizations and associations).
Right now, we are in the midst of active growth and I'm having to pull out my "strategy" and "long-term growth" hat: the questions I find myself asking are: 1) who can help us implement our work better, 2) how do others grow their business, and 3) what support do I need to put into place so I can grow both personally and professionally.
My current "toolkit" of how I run my business, things I cannot live without:
1) My brain
2) To-do Lists
3) Google
4) Mac G4
5) Scheduler/Calendar
6) E-mail (multiple e-mails)
7) Accountant/Accounting software
8) Financial Planner
9) Legal Advisor
10) Tax Advisor
11) Notepad/Textpad editor
12) Coach
What I would like to do on a more regular basis:
1) Meet more and more people
2) Write more
3) Think bigger (out of the box)
4) Move outside of my comfort zone
5) Only do/engage in/be a part of/volunteer at activities or groups that make me super happy ;-)
What's in your toolkit?

Thanks Monica, for drawing these sobering facts to our attention. Young folks can grow quite a nest egg without putting a whole lot aside at this point. Even when you're a little older, like me, it is never too late to set aside funds. So, as you say, "saving is one way of being good to me!!"
